Dr. Timothy Rittenour is currently the Medical Director for
Greater Northwest EMS. The position of Medical Director is appointed
on an annual basis by the Board of Directors.
Dr. Rittenour went to
medical school at Lomalinda University in Southern
California. He completed his residency in Grand Forks, North Dakota in
family
practice. He spent three years in family practice before beginning his
experience in emergency medicine.
Dr. Rittenour is
employed by Northwest Medical Center in Thief River Falls, MN where he holds
the title of Emergency Room and Psychological Unit Director. He has
been the Medical Director for Great Plains EMS ambulance service for the
past two years.
Overall, Dr.
Rittenour’s medical experience has been with smaller, community
hospitals—also where his heart is. Dr. Rittenour has five children,
from age 11 to 24. His wife is a registered nurse. He enjoys music,
singing and guitar.
